(Below photo from Tsukishima)
It was necessary that I speak a little place where I live and where I work after all.
Geographicallly is simple: Tokyo is composed of a neighborhood of artificial islands called Chuo-Ku, it is one of the new financial center and is mostly very close to Ginza, venue shopping, finance, etc. par excellence.
No need to say here, one is surrounded by ocean, it goes rather quickly and from one bank to another is easy to see Tokyo on the morning when it gets a little hot is easy to feel the smell of salty water and this was a real pleasure.
Culturally speaking, Tsukishima is one of the most traditional of Tokyo recently it keeps even when a large part of Japanese culture (so easy guess it is rather poorly suited to foreigners, whoopee).
Tsukishima is very well known for its high street enchaine okonomyakis (kind of pancakes to the Japanese that you leave on a plate before you and eat as and when it occurs), but this corner possesses very narrow streets as the Japanese have the secret, a few small patches of greenery and rest areas very pleasant.
Tsukishima is also very close to the Tsukiji fish market, known and very huge, it is rather the hunanimite.
is a quiet but very pleasant, I'm foreign and therefore not frowned upon here, I now know all the people in my street and they are wonderful with me, I would never have thought that in a big city mentality over a "campaign" is present, and that everyone knows.
Tsukishima is another pearl of Tokyo.
